Community is important to CEDA and our people. It’s where we live, where we do business, where we work and where we play.
We are committed to contributing to our communities by supporting healthy change and development.
We take pride in our interactions with our communities and desire to build and strengthen long-term relationships with local community members including local businesses, community organizations and Indigenous groups.
As a service provider, we know it’s important to both our employees and our clients that we positively contribute to our communities. We engage our employees to ensure our support is going to the causes that are most important to them.
As a result, we established CEDACares and our four pillars of giving.
The CEDACares Community Giving Program encourages CEDA and our employees to come together to make a difference.
Building relationships with our charitable partners in the local communities.
Supporting our employees in the charitable giving they do by promoting and contributing to their fundraisers.
Our employees donating their time and skills to projects and events that build stronger local communities.
CEDA proudly supports the following:

During the 2013 southern Alberta floods, CEDA supported the incredible efforts of the Canadian Red Cross. CEDA helped the people of Alberta by matching employee donations to the Canadian Red Cross, fundraising a total of $23,000. In 2016, CEDA supported the Red Cross again during the Fort McMurray Wildfires by pledging $50,000 with our employees raising an additional $9,500.

CEDA is proud to support the United Way Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo. Through various fundraising events, we have raised over $120,000 to help the United Way provide lasting social change in three focus areas: overcoming poverty, helping kids succeed and building strong communities.
CEDA has partnered with Women Building Futures (WBF) on their Pathway to Apprenticeship Program that provides students the practical and academic training required to become a Heavy Equipment Technician (HET). As a sponsor of this program, CEDA provides work placements to HET apprentices.
