CALGARY, AB – CEDA is honoured to announce its bronze-level sponsorship for the 2015 Western Canada Summer Games Wood Buffalo.
Through its bronze sponsorship, CEDA has been named the Presenting Sponsor for the Closing Ceremony, which will take place August 16, 2015 at Shell Place in Fort McMurray. CEDA has also been named the Presenting Sponsor of Golf for the duration of the Games.
“Being involved in the communities where many of our employees live and work is important for CEDA. Through our support of the Western Canada Summer Games, we have the opportunity to collectively create a lasting legacy in the Wood Buffalo community,” said Chad Thompson, CEDA Executive Vice President, Operations.
“We are so delighted to have CEDA as one of our primary sponsors of the Games”, said Cindy Amerongen, member of the 2015 Games Host Society Board of Directors and Director of Culture, Ceremonies and Protocol. “Many of the business lines in the CEDA family were created from successful homegrown local businesses that always put a great deal back into the community. CEDA continues to invest funds, leadership and employee volunteer time to make Wood Buffalo one of Canada’s premier communities, and their support for the Games marks an enduring commitment to the region.”
“Although the Closing Ceremonies marks the end of 10 fabulous days of superior athletic achievements, and it’s sad to say goodbye to the thousands of athletes and visitors, we are going to end with a really big show at closing ceremonies,” continued Amerongen. “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank CEDA for their support and I encourage everyone to get their Closing Ceremonies tickets because it’s going to be outstanding!”
