CALGARY, AB – CEDA International Corporation (CEDA) is pleased to announce the strategic acquisition of United Energy Services Inc. (UES).
Founded in 2007, UES is a full service pigging and decoking contractor based in Red Deer, Alberta. Pigging or decoking is a service that is used to clean process pipes in an industrial plant and related facilities. UES is comprised of 12 people and has been providing pigging and decoking services throughout central and northern Alberta.
UES is known as an industry leader in the provision of pigging and decoking services and has delivered services to a number of leading energy companies including Devon Canada, EnCana, Meg Energy and Syncrude.
“The UES acquisition brings excellent benefits to our company and our clients,” explains Bruce Rintoul, President and CEO of CEDA. “This deal is strategically aligned with our vision for growth and fits perfectly into our strategy of providing complimentary product lines or “flange to flange” solutions to our industrial clients.”
“This is an enormous growth opportunity for our company,” says Greg Barrett, General Manager and co-founder of UES. “With our pigging expertise and CEDA’s position as a key player in the maintenance and turnaround market we are well positioned to expand our business and provide additional career opportunities for our employees,” adds Barrett.
With the addition of UES, CEDA has strengthened its ability to service the needs of its clients throughout Canada and the United States. UES will operate as a division of CEDA-REACTOR LTD. All UES employees will join CEDA.
